     Welcome to the website of Claire Harvey East, International Soprano, vocal tutor, classical wedding singer based in South Derbyshire and living in the Midlands. 

Claire has been a professional singer and vocal tutor for 25yrs.  Performing and teaching in  Southern Spain and the UK.

A classically-trained coloratura dramatic soprano, Claire Harvey East is a highly accomplished, and most versatile professional singer with extensive experience of singing at concerts, recitals, weddings and corporate functions.  She sings an incredible variety of arias from Puccini to light coloratura; from high soprano to mezzo.  Claire has a distintive vocal timbre, which she can colour in a seemly infinite number of manners.

Trained at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, with Welsh tenor Leslie Jones, continuing her studies in London with Covent Garden mezzo soprano Josephine Veasey. American repititeur Stuart Smith, South African Soprano and Impressario Denny Dayviss and Covent Garden Chorus Master Nina Walker in Spain.

Claire has lived and worked in Spain for 13yrs as a professional singer and vocal tutor.  She has performed concerts and recitals with Nina Walker, Brian Stansborough (maestro/celebrated Australian concert pianist), Peter Ilvasky( Austrian tenor and ex Vienna Boys choir) and Sergio Montero (repititeur for Malaga Opera) in Southern Spain and France and returned to the UK 5yrs ago where she has been performing concerts and guest apperances with Russian pianist Tanya Hilton and Birmingham based pianist Iain Jackson In the Midlands area.
